Red Barn Creative Team has had changed a lot over the past 2 decades. We are a subsidiary company of Red Barn Technology Group, specializing in graphic and web design. Let us walk you through our journey to the present day starting with our parent company’s origins.
1996
Red Barn Computers (Red Barn Technology Group) was started with $500 and a credit card. Our first location was at 1149 Upper Front Street in a long demolished building.
1999
Red Barn outgrew their first location and moved into a bigger location in Empire plaza at 1247 Front Street, right up the street.
2000
Red Barn started working with universities, academia and computational sciences.
Hackerthreads was born by its original owner.
2003
Red Barn Computers (Red Barn Technology Group) opened a second location in Vestal in Portobello Square at 1101 Bunn Hill Road.
2004
Red Barn Computer (Red Barn Technology Group) starts Red Barn HPC.
Red Barn purchases Hackerthreads.
2005
Red Barn’s Binghamton location moved into the Kost Plaza on Upper Front Street.
2007
Hackerthreads was moved to the second floor of the Vestal location in the Portobello Square plaza.
2008
Red Barn Computers (Red Barn Technology Group) becomes the largest Asus notebook retailer.
2010
Red Barn Technology Group starts Vital IT a Manged Services Provider.
Red Barn Technology Group consolidates locations and brands with the merging of its Vestal location into the Binghamton location.
Hackerthreads moves next door to the Red Barn Computers location in Kost plaza.
Red Barn was the chosen vendor for a $2 million project by the U.S. Air Force.
2011
The Susquehanna river flooded for the second time in quick succession to the previous flood in 2006. The Red Barn Computers (Red Barn Technology Group) and Hackerthreads locations in Kost plaza were flooded with a devastating outcome.
2012
With Red Barn Technology Group’s divisions quick growth space quickly becomes an issue. Plans to purchase a facility big enough to house years of growth begins.
2013
Red Barn Computers (Red Barn Technology Group) purchases its current facility located at 37 Pine Street in Binghamton, NY.
2014
Massive renovations begin at the new facility to prepare the building for the move.
2015
Red Barn Technology Group moves into the new facility with enough space for each division to adequately function and grow. All Red Barn companies are now owned under the parent company of Red Barn Technology Group.
2019
Red Barn Computers changes to a CPR (Cell Phone Repair) franchise location.
‘Hackerthreads’ is renamed ‘Red Barn Creative Team’.
‘Vital IT’ is renamed ‘Vital IT Team’, as a sister company to Red Barn Creative Team.
2020
Red Barn Creative Team purchases Muckles Ink.
